Large enough for me (6’1”) to be comfortable. I’m used to a bench seat at the moment and know I won’t get anywhere near that, but I’ll need to be comfortable enough to drive for a few hours.
Able to fit my all gear. I’ve got a bass guitar that’s 122 centimetres long (too wide for even an AU Falcon’s boot) and two speaker boxes that are 62 centimetres wide and 46 centimetres deep.
Nice to drive.
Fuel efficient. New, the Falcon used 12.5 litres per 100 kilometres but it feels like it’s much worse than that.
Reliability, build quality, and repairability.
$10,000 - $15,000.
At the moment I’m thinking of a 2002 Camry Altise, but a station wagon would probably make more sense.

By day, he works for ABC TV as a web developer. By night, he plays bass guitar in Look Who's Toxic. He also runs a little Unix Timestamp conversion site. There are plenty of other things he should be doing, but most of the time he's dreaming of what he'll do when he grows up while watching bad Star Trek spin-offs.
